Mrs. DeLarm's 5th Grade

Test, test, test... yep... that's our next couple days. We will take all the state math and language arts tests this week, and the science tests next week. The students did great today... very focused and worked hard the whole time. We don't put any extra pressure on... students are to just try their best, as they do with all our tests.

There will be no homeroom sheet this week. These testing days are long (and quiet), so students should just concentrate on resting up at home at night. ☺ Try to have everyone at school everyday, and on time, so they can test with their class.

This week in curriculum:
CKLA--We are finishing Reformation. Math--Ch. 12 Angles--we won't start this until Friday due to state testing and Science Fair. Social Studies: we'll finish our state research and project.

Science--Science Fair work should be finished at home. Boards are due FINISHED AT SCHOOL WEDNESDAY! Students may use the printer before school tomorrow (Tuesday) if they bring their work ready to print. Students have a skeleton script they are to complete with information from their projects and practice saying outloud at home in order to prepare for judging.

Science Fair, Thurs., April 12 Parents cannot come to the judging and are instead invited to the Night of Excellence later this month to see all of the projects. Those students who place at the school fair will be given the opportunity to compete at the regional level on Saturday, April 21. Participation is optional for winning students.
