Maniboo Kicks Off Halloween in True MSES Style!

Maniboo KidsManiboo!, the MSES PAC’s brilliant annual Halloween Carnival for our kids, was another great success again this year. Hundreds and hundreds of students, parents, and teachers attended the evening carnival—the most in recent years (especially as gauged by the length of the line of students waiting to throw a pie at Mr. Vogel’s smiling face). From the games to the cakewalk to the jail (one student gained straight A’s for Second Quarter by bailing out Mr. V) to the haunted house to the food and fabulous raffle packets, students and parents alike had a safe, sane, and fun launch to the Halloween season.

Halloween celebrations will continue Tuesday, Oct. 31, at MSES with our annual playground parade at 1:30, followed by classroom parties. (We’d like to remind parents to support our littlest goblins’ peace of mind by ensuring the big kids’ costumes aren’t too scary or gory—and that props like swords or axes are best left for the after-school trick-or-treating!)

Manitou merchants will welcome trick-or-treaters after school until 5 p.m. downtown
