Desk> Veteran’s Day Program: MSES students will fill the auditorium Monday to honor local veterans, active military personnel, and their families on stage for our annual Veterans Day Program. The program is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, but if there is a snow delay, we will begin at 10:15. Please note: with 460 students in the aud seating and our veterans/active military and their families on stage, seating is extremely limited for the general public.

> Literacy Night: We have clear skies predicted for Thursday and our snow-delayed MSES Literacy Night is good to go at 5:30 p.m. Thursday! It’s a wonderful way to celebrate literacy, good food, and family connections. See flier below for details. If you already RSVP’d before, please do so again for the new date!

> Our Mustang Service Corps is Supporting Happy Cats Haven and Feral Cats! Mustang Service Corps is raising funds to support Happy Cats Haven’s construction of shelters for feral cats. Happy Cats Haven cares for over 1,000 feral cats daily across Colorado Springs. We are excited to work with our local branch here in Manitou Springs! Mustang Service Corps will be selling cat-themed rings and buttons at the school store starting this Friday to raise enough money to build a shelter from each class. Our goal is to begin building the shelters by mid-December. Teachers will pick students to come down to Mrs. B's room to help serve our school on Thursdays and Fridays. If your child is interested in designing a button they can come down to the computer lab to get a button template to design at home as well. There are so many ways to help serve!! Items for sale as of Friday, November 8th: 3D printed kitty cat rings will be 25 cents and kitty buttons will be 50 cents. We will also have a donation bin by the office.
