Desk> Still Time to Get a Copy of Reading Promise Book Henry Huggins: Thank you again to those of you who came out to our annual Literacy Night before break. We had so much fun together. If you came and received your Henry Huggins Reading Promise book and paper bones, remember to color in a bone for each chapter you read together and bring them back to school. Ribsy's bowl in The Commons is empty and he is hungry! If you weren't able to join us at Literacy Night, we would love for you to stop by the office, email your child's teacher, or any of the Interventionists (Kelly Johnston, Robin Sokol, Amanda Hendrickson, Steve Smith or Heidi Koriath) to request or pick up this year's Reading Promise book, the contract, and the bones to color. The Reading Promise is a promise that parents make to their children to read to them at least 10 minutes each day -- and the challenge is to do it for 100 days! This is powerful and fun for everyone in the family. -- MSES Reading Intervention Team
