Students/Parents

At Manitou Springs Elementary School, we are more than a school—we are a family. Our school community is built on the belief that education is a shared journey, and we know that students thrive when schools and families work together. We deeply value the strong partnerships we build with parents, guardians, and caregivers, and we see these relationships as vital to every child’s success. When families are engaged and involved, students feel a greater sense of belonging, motivation, and confidence.

We believe that communication and collaboration are essential pillars of our school culture. From regular classroom updates and newsletters to parent-teacher conferences and community events, we are committed to keeping families informed, involved, and connected. We welcome parent input, listen with care, and strive to build an environment where every family feels heard and respected.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to play an active role in school life—whether it's volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, participating in our Parent Action Committee (PAC), or joining us for family events, performances, and celebrations. These moments not only enrich our school experience but also foster strong relationships between students, families, and staff.

We believe that when schools and families join forces, we create a positive, inclusive, and empowering learning environment where children are inspired to reach their full potential. Together, we are cultivating a community where every student feels safe, supported, and genuinely excited to come to school each day.

At MSES, your family is our family and we are so glad you’re here.
